Cross Reference

I don't normally engage the blog I use for my classes on this forum, but I thought I'd add a link to a recent post. One of my student's asked me what 5 LPs I would select if I was stranded on a deserted island (Never mind the plausibility of pre-planning for such an occasion). I didn't answer him right away, but I did make the question a writing prompt for the rest of the class (with slightly altered parameters). Today, I decided to respond to the initial question with a blog post. You kind find it here. You can click on student names in the "Spring 2008" side-bar to read their responses to the question.

If I were stranded on a desert island, I would not want any cassette tapes. I would only want John Locke. He would know what to do, and he would sing to me.

seeing how i'm recovering from a recent addiction to .com tv crack, i feel pretty certain that i would choose james ford or desmond hume over john locke. idealy, i could have some sort of combination of the two men and if this one particular dream of mine was any indication, he would know what to do.
