From the Vault

One would not be incorrect to call Comets on Fire's 3rd LP, Blue Cathedral, a modern-psychedelic masterpiece. The album functions quite well as a cohesive unit & boasts a full slate of strong songs. "The Bee & the Cracking Egg" opens the set & works its way to full-spaz freak-out around the 5:15 mark, lulls, then closes with a wall of sound. At the midway point, "Organs" acts as interlude/dirge that helps balance the album, while closer "Blue Tomb" will, more or less, smash your face in with its neo-Zepplin flourishes.
