Police Report

To right is an image of the police report I filled out the weekend I "lost" my wallet (08-19-07). While I have listed the various missing items therein (SS card, debit card, etc), nowhere do I mention the fact that my cut-out of the "1980s James Spader" went missing as well. One wonders whether or not I was ashamed of the roaring feather-mullet, the Don Johnson sport coat, or blue button-down (Stylishly opened to the 3rd button no less!) which Spader rocked. Or, perhaps I was in full freak-out-denial mode & didn't want to face the horrid reality of our untimely parting. The time line of my previous night is also worth noting. Surely, the cop looked at the "narrative" & had no questions as to my sobriety, especially when I throw in choice phrases such as: "When the bar closed..." As always, click image for bigness.

I agree with your assessment, yet I feel it less attributed to your sobriety and more to the words "Colfax & Grant" (read: officer to ignore this report).

First off, your blog sucks. But I gotta say, I just laughed my ass off about this cop report. There is so much comedy packed in there, but this almost knocked my out of my chair: "This was the last time I had my wallet (knowingly)." Holy shit that is funny. So tell me, you ever get a follow up call about progress investigators were making in this head scratcher?
